On April 5, 1764, Parliament passed an updated version of the sugar and molasses act of 1733, that was about to expire. The molasses act caused merchents to pay taxes, six pence per gallon of imported molasses.The Sugar Act reduced the rate of tax on molasses from siz pence to three pence per gallon, while Grenville took measures that the duty strictly enforced.
The Currency Act.
This act was thought to protect British Merchants and creditors from being paid in other colonial areas where they don't use the same currency.
Proclamation of 1763
On October 7, 1763 King George III dispenced a proclamtion that forbade any settlement west of the Applachian Mountians. He did this hoping that it would put to ease to the Native Americans that had sided with him during the Seven Year War.
